In one of my classes, a few weeks ago, the topic of death came up. I think our unit was over death and dying. My whole view on death and dying is that it is inevitable and there is nothing to be afraid of. We are all born to die and we are actually already in that process the moment we pop out of our mother's womb. It's kind of depressing right? I watched this whole documentary thing about it in my honors anatomy and physiology class, which I loved. Anyways, no one can escape death. Sure, you might beat cancer or dodge a bullet, or live through a fatal car crash, or whatever it is that humans can survive through, but in the end no one is an exception for the Grim Reaper. I'm not saying I'm some cold, heartless being that has no emotion when it comes to these matters, but it is a natural part of life, it has to happen. I haven't experienced too much death in my life and I admit I will be absolutely devastated when my parents have to leave with the Angel of Death but I understand, once again, that no one is exempt. Also, although I am not afraid of death, it doesn't make it any easier to handle when it happens to those around you.
